Seeking to Make More to Live Music and The Arts in London than What Meets Our Eyes and Ears…

The Secret’s Out….

….To A Few Good Gigs to start 2010

Thanks to “discovery” of the Secret London Group on Facebook, London Charm has found a new lease of life in getting to know, hear and pass on about some good acts playing at some good venues around London. We have taken the liberty of listening to some of these acts’ sounds and look from their MySpace pages and posted comments about them in London Charm’s own Facebook Group.

But are they “good” juicy secrets?

The key to knowing that these acts are good, though, is to hear from those who listen to their tracks on their MySpace, Facebook or own web-sites and indicate that they are interested to get along to the gig by putting a comment or two on London Charm’s Wall.

It also makes it work if first-timers post comments about what they thought about them afterwards.

So what’s the secrets then?

Here’s a summary of gigs that London Charm consider sounds good, as suggested so far by members of the Secret London Group:

Saturday, Feb 6th, The Standards,
Indie / Acoustic /Rock – with just a touch of The Smiths perhaps – playing @ Camden Barfly, 20:00, with Hoodlums
49 Chalk Farm Rd, London, NW1 8AN Cost: £5

Wednesday, Feb 17th, WE ROCK LIKE GIRLS DON’T,
heavy metal and hard rock (with heart?), headlining NEW HEAVY SOUNDS @ The Gaff, 382 Holloway Rd, N7

Saturday, Mar 6th, The BetaRays ,
Indie-Pop Rock band who play the odd Beatles cover, playing at 20:00 @ Camden Barfly, 49 Chalk Farm Rd, London, NW1 8AN. Cost: £6

It is good that some of those who commented in the Secret London discussion thread are now members of London Charm. So we presume that this makes it all the more merrier and easier for us all to find out about more acts, as well as places to meet the good people and see the great bands play. So, if you haven’t done so already, see (and join) London Charm’s Facebook group to discover more about each act as well as see (and add) comments about them yourself.
